I recently was invited to a wedding anniversary, of which also happened to be on New Years Eve!
The happy couple celebrating twenty years of marriage were my good friends Phil and Helen, who had returned to Bournemouth from their home in the French Alps.

They have been living, riding and organising cycling tours and accommodation from Bourg d’Oisans at the base of Alpe d’Huez since 2008 and in that time they have had more than 1000 guests stay with them, many more than once, and many who have stayed so many times they now regard them as true friends.
I myself and been over on two occasions firstly riding Alpe d’Huez Tour of the Oisans and secondly riding Alpe d’Huez and Mont Ventoux, both of which were absolutely awesome, memories I will treasure for a long, long time.
Phil and Helen’s hospitality is amazing, friendly and comes from a strong family bond, they love cycling, love people and will support you every pedal stroke of your journey to conquering the most mythical, breathtaking mountains on earth.
